An illustrated presentation by Anne Selby, textile artist with an enormous interest in the Japanese technique of shibori pleating. She is a designer creating unique and luxurious stoles, boas and scarves in silk with dramatic visual effect. Ann invented the 1500mm long "Compleate Machine" which can use 5 and 6 layers of silk at once. The intricate mechanics of the machine were developed by Anne. Anne was awarded the Most Innovative Small Business Award in 2008 and the Crafts Council development award in 2009.
