Isle of Man Festival 2013 Events
September 19th – 22nd 2013
The Festival Events will open on the afternoon of Thursday 19th September with an introduction to the Manx National Heritage Art Gallery. Curator, Yvonne Cresswell will take visitors on a tour of the Gallery looking at the inspirational works of great Manx artists. including John Nicholson and Archibald Knox. The Museum Theatre will be taken over for an exclusive presentation of “The Deer’s Cry” and followed by an arranged private viewing of the Celtic works of Archibald Knox.
The Festival will be officially opened at the Sayle Gallery on Friday 20th September.
The Dinner and Fashion Show at The Sefton Hotel on Saturday 21st September promises to be a highlight of The Festival. The Mannin Folk Trio will entertain at a Drinks Reception and following Dinner be stunned by the works of Jan billings and Anne Selby and others as they glide over the Atrium floor .
The Weekend events in the beautiful Villa Marina Promenade Arcade will house a host of events, workshops and activities for all the family. You will be invited to paint a parasol; make a bouquet of roses from painted silk and marvel at all the displays. Some events will need to be booked and they are* starred on the Events Booking Form.
